Database Attach (DBA) enhances the batch DB2 environment by eliminating the use of TSO, saving CPU and storage resources. DBA also allows the proper handling of step abends and return codes.

In our latest version of Database Attach we've made a great product even better. We've incorporated new "Variable Commit Frequency" technology (patent pending) that allows batch application COMMIT intervals to be dynamically modified without making application code changes. In benchmark tests, this new feature has shown substantial reductions in CPU usage and elapsed time.

Database Attach also contains components that can improve SQL performance, and the patented ENQ Serialization feature virtually eliminates deadlock-timeout conditions between competing DB2 batch processes.

Database Attach acts as an interface between the batch application and DB2's Call Attachment Facility. No source code changes are required to use Database Attach. The application simply runs as a native MVS program.
