SoftBase was founded in 1987 and like many successful software companies, it had a humble beginning. SoftBase’s first product, Database Attach, was developed on a make-shift desk made from a door and two saw horses in the founder’s garage, and was delivered to SoftBase’s first customer (a current Fortune 1000 department store) on a roll of magnetic tape in early 1988. The company is still a SoftBase customer.
